On Thursday 21st September, we hosted our first ever open day at our premises in Ipswich. The purpose of the event was to celebrate achieving LPCB standard LPS1666 for our direct low pressure NOVEC 1230 system for electrical panels. The day was attended by over 20 professionals from the insurance industry.
The highlight of the day were the live automatic fire suppression demonstrations conducted by Firetrace experts Andy Burrows, Michael Brame, and Mark Piper. All went without a hitch with the data cabinet and electrical panel fire live-streamed to our Facebook page.
Firetrace’s MD Tim Melton and founder Dave Melton spoke about the history of the company and presented an informative overview of the new LPS1666 standard.
Guests were also given the opportunity to watch valves used in Firetrace systems being manufactured on our two CNC machines. Firetrace are one of the few UK automatic fire suppression suppliers to manufacture their own valves.
The day was a great success and we are looking to hold another similar event in the future.
